I began my career as a classroom teacher in Chicago in 2011, believing that real change begins by meeting students where they are. Over time, I saw how personalized attention, care, and curiosity could transform not only academic outcomes, but a child’s relationship with learning itself.
In 2020, I founded Voice & Choice Learning to make school one less thing for families to worry about, especially during challenging seasons. I draw on my background in English, History, and Cross-Cultural Education— and my training as a Spelling to Communicate® (S2C®) practitioner-in-training— to create learning experiences that honor each student’s unique way of understanding and expressing the world.
Whether supporting a high school senior through college essays, guiding a middle schooler to rediscover joy in reading, or helping nonspeaking students build deeper communication and literacy skills, my approach is grounded in empathy, structure, and voice.
Every student deserves to be heard, understood, and equipped to tell their own story with confidence and purpose.
