Head start on college applications? Learn how Voice & Choice Learning can help this summer!
This journey is more than college prep— it’s about stepping into authorship of your own life.
Across three phases, you will move from reflection to articulation to ownership, meeting weekly to uncover the values that shape you, the future that calls you, and the voice that carries it all forward.
By the end of first month, you will have transformed your lived experiences into a powerful personal essay and a portfolio of thoughtful responses. You will see more clearly who you are— and begin trusting that inner knowing as your guide.
Through the second month, you will have crafted a professional vision essay rooted in both ambition and truth. You will learn to articulate not just where you are going, but why you belong there. Each word will mark a decision to live up, not down— and meet your future from a place of strength.
And after a moment of reset and renewal, you’ll return to your writing with fresh perspective to polish with purpose. You will revise not only for grammar, but for clarity of voice, alignment of values, and confidence in direction. By the end of the third month, your essays will be ready— but more importantly, you will be ready.
Shape personal stories into powerful narratives that reflect not just what you’ve been through, but how you’ve grown. By the end of of this first phase, you will have a strong personal essay and a short-answer portfolio.
Articulate your ambitions and craft goals grounded in lived experience and communicated with confidence. By the end of this second phase, you will have a professional essay that makes the future feel real and reachable.
Following a short break, return to your writing and polish both essays with clarity and purpose. By the end of this third phase, your essays will reflect a voice that is rooted, confident, and compelling.
This process affirms:
You have everything you need inside you.
You are already where you’re supposed to be.
You can rely on that and make decisions from that belief.
Because this is not just about getting in. It’s about getting rooted.
In voice. In vision. In self.
It’s about recognizing signals of burnout before they take over.
It’s about committing to the small rituals—one class, one breath, one choice at a time.
It’s about living up to the truth inside you, not down to the doubt around you.
This is what it means to narrate the transition.
To begin the next chapter with the pen in your hand.
